Meet the Chair of the Forum

Hi, I am Angela Connors, the Chair of the Forum for Truth and Recognition.

The Forum has been established to conduct an independent review of child sexual abuse in Victorian government schools and certain non-government schools, prior to the year 2000.

As I conduct this review, I draw from my experiences in support services and social policy development. I’ve spent years working on improving services and support for people in complex and challenging environments.

The Forum is a safe and respectful place where you will be heard. I invite Victorians who have experienced child sexual abuse at school to come forward and share their truth.

Whether you would like to meet me in person as I travel across metropolitan, regional and rural Victoria or book an online conversation, or share your experiences via email or post through a letter, poem or an artwork – how you participate in the Forum is your choice.

In May 2026 I will deliver a report to the Premier of Victoria, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to the public record.

By collecting and listening to your experiences, together we can strengthen our understanding of the lifelong impacts of child sexual abuse in schools, recognise the trauma experienced and contribute to individual and collective healing.

There is power in your truth, and I invite you to be a part of the Forum for Truth and Recognition.
